FC 1/18 scale model

Hey, ok, maybe I'm a dork or whatever...but I like to buy a 1/18" scale diecast model of every car I've ever owned.

So far, I've got the Opel GT and Impreza 22B (I had the 2.5RS)

Anyway, at my usually reliable site of www.ewacars.com, they have NO FC RX7's, and I even had trouble finding an FD.

Can anyone help here? Thanks!

I know they make small models of them, but do they have to be 1/18 scale?

Kyosho makes some 1:28 models. Or around that size.

well, all the others I have are 1/18 scale, so I'd like to keep things consistent... Lame, perhaps...but it would look nicer, since they're all kinda put on display in my living room...

Don't think anyone ever made any 1/18 of 1st or 2nd gen, only 3rd gen. You can probably still get that at exoticars.com, they have had a Kyoso(?) brand. There might have been a plastic you put it together one, there definitely are some smaller ones around.

Agree with you on 1/18, I collect them, have the best detail, I bought the 3rd gen since it was the closest I could get (had a 1st gen have a 2nd gen vert now), have my previous cars too-240Z, Challenger, Chevelle.

If worse comes to worse you could always ask to get the 3d max modeled 2nd gen files from some of the artists on the board here. After getting the 3d modeled files you could transpose them to the correct format and then find a machine shop with a cnc machine to carve the 3d model out of some metal at the scale that you choose. Then you could make it your project to go out and buy some Testor's model paint and paint it yourself. Shouldn't be too much work for a fanatic hehehe.

heh, good idea, but WAY too much work for me!

I may just have to bite the bullet and get the 3rd gen.

I mean, I couldn't get an Impreza 2.5RS, all they have were old school WRXs (the ones we never got here), and the 22B was the closest body style to my car (2-door). Ehh, I'll make due. It's better than nothing.
