fan, radiator, water pump? who knows?

Ok here is deal. I have been having a strange problem since changing a heater hose. My car will push antifreeze across into the resivoir and sometimes it seems to pull it back and sometimes not. No smoke, no bubble at filler neck, no overheating. I am thinking it could be one of a couple things. I have been told mabey fan clutch, mabey water pump, mabey clogged radiator. I dont know what the problem is. I got a fan clutch from the junk yard, and it made the problem worse. Before, it would be good to drive for about 30 minutes, then the buzzer would come on, after fan change, went to about 10. Ok. I have smog pump removed and think mabey I need a dual pulley, but it has been fine for months without one until this hose blew, but I did take my strut tower bar off, which seemed to be holding the alternator high up on bracket, so mabey without it on, the alt slips down just enough to let belt slip past water pump. Anyone know what this problem is? I am very close to just selling the car how it sits.
