Failed MA emissions heres the numbers

I failed the lame MA state emissions test. Everything ran fine my tps is fualty and i know its bad and that is the only code my car is throwing.

The CO grams is the part that i failed my car clocked in at 69 and the limit is 30. I have no idea what would be the best way to fix this. 69 is way over the 30. Some have suggested replace the tps which i already ordered and get a new o2 sensor. Will these two things be enough to get me a pass?

I have some time to get it reinspected but i know the car is running extremely rich and I am just not fully sure how to adjust that. ANy suggestions would be appreciated. by the way this is on an 1987 TII.

also try leaning out the variable resistor as much as possible, and throw in 10 ounces of alcohol if you have a full tank.

Almost right below the boost sensor is an adjustment screw that has an l and an r on it. Turn it slowly towards the L and you will hear your idle fall. Keep turning it unless your engine wont run. Drive slow and gingerly to the inspection staion. Im going tomorow to get my 87 t2 inspected and im not running a cat.

Not quite sure as to the alcohol question. I believe the variable resistor is the thing that I talk of in post #6. Not sure though.Ask other gurus as to what and where this variable resistor is. I would love to know as well as you. Afterall, Im in Mass too.
