Can you take a picture for us? I just had my doors apart on my '90 GXL(moving the rear strut mounted speakers to the door cut-outs, which worked out wonderfully I might add ) and don't remember seeing an unused harness.

Well darn it, that didn't help much did it? I would see if the FSM has anything on it? I can't think of any other items to put into a door. Power windows, power door locks, courtesy light, ........ lock cylinder light maybe? I thought I read something about that somewhere. I was going to see if mine was supposed to have one or not.

Do you have a multimeter? I would just see if it has voltage, and whether or not it gets voltage when you do different things like turn the car on, turn the lights on/off, lock the doors/unlock the doors, etc, etc. If it does have voltage, use it for something, if not, well, who knows?

from looking at that it looks like its the handle light !

although i cant say i have NO IDEA !

the theory is that when you lift the handle when the car is locked it puts a light on behind the barrel so you can see where the key goes !

i suppose you can shut the door , lock it and get someone to life the handle and see if it gets power

failing that , sit with the meter on it and operate every switch and dail to see when it gets power
