i've got all 3 cats from a 91 n/a and my cousin's got an 86 n/a that's failing smog.

i've heard that all 3 cats won't swap in, but would any of them be able to fit in there?

he only failed the hc reading (pass is 110, he scored 300+). i'm figuring popping my almost new cats in there might solve it for him.

you might have that backwards... the 86-88 non-turbos used 3 cats, the 89-91 cars only used two cats.

 

you're right icemark, i've got it backwards. so i guess that means the very first part isn't interchangable.

what about the next two pieces? anyone know if i can swap in the main cat and the first cat from my 91?
