Finally!!!!........

after days/hours of searching for the perfect 2nd gen rx7 i found it an 86 rx7 had a dual rotor single turbo guy was revving it at 12000rpm and missed a gear blowing the motor or something to that effect so he went threw the trouble of installing a 350 4bolt main prducing 375hp to the rear wheels he must sell since hes going to college perfect for me =P only thing that looks kinda odd in it is the 5 inch cowl hood thats on it but other than that interior is new freshly re done in black and motor only has 500miles on it only thing wrong with it(of course for $1500 theres gotta be something wrong with it ) 2 small dents on outer fender and some kids and poured acid on the roof taking out the paint and the tempature and oil pressure gauge doesnt work but hes got spares that he was going to put on the pod on the column..... o and a stock maza rim that is bent other than that the car is ready to go since he just installed the motor the motor needs to be tuned... i should go get it this Saturday lets see how it goes.....

i think the only thing is my brother has the 3rd gen and he says the thing about putting a v8 in it you mess up the weight distribution but o well ill still haul ***

another thing could you guys send me links to where i can buy the 3 gauge pod that goes on the column thanks

there are no 86 TII's. Second I think you should post this in the V8 section not here.

just a word of warning, some here frown on V8 swaps. Me personally, I dont have a problem with them.

it might still be a 7 but its not RX. RX means something. I personally will always respect that. RX for ever!

Nah don't be sorry for doing this. I just think you will get a better response in that section. Here most of use have a rotary in it still and don't like piston engine swaps. But don't be all politically correct on my account. I am just giving the reason I don't like piston engines in the RX-7 or any other RX car for that matter.

Maybe we can persuade you to come back to the dorito! Drop a TII drive train in there and build that up.

yeah I don't really like v8 swaps at all. Just kind of stupid in my opinion because its trying to make a bulky american engine go with a sleak sports car. Don't get me wrong the v8 has its place but thats called a corvette Anyways congrats on the peice of ****, lol j/k have fun!

Hey, sounds like a great buy. Personally i love V8 swaps in almost any car. It makes for the ultimate Sleeper. Have fun with it.

Umm I thought when you make a sleeper its supposed to be inconspicuous(sp?) ??? How is the sound of a V8 not going to give it away? Not to mention the sagging front suspension.

now thats just creepy well a rotary exhaust is just as distinctive as an american v8 it all boils down to how loud it is.

Considering the car probably gained less than 100 pounds through the swap and would smoke yours... thats a lot of stupid **** to say even if you were making a stupid attempt at a joke.

Good luck.

Go to http://www.v8rx7.com/ for details. I was talking to him and he turns out to be a great guy. I had asked him questions pertaining to our Headlight conversion and he was detailed In his answers. He doesn't frequent the forum much anymore though.
