So at the moment im putting together a list of after market parts that i wanna add to my 7 when i get it. (ya know just to see whats what and how much its gonna cost. blah blah blah what mods im doing first yada yada)

and im on exhaust and i wanna know what types of exhaust u guys have and which ones you recommend(regardless of price and what not cause i know it wont be cheap)

and which ones i should stay away from. like the coffee cans that i see strapped to alot of cars around here.

I was thinking full HKS exhaust system but idk just yet

Honestly bro. its hard to do exhaust wrong. I personally like the look of the tanabe sport (oval) mufflers and tips. they look clean as hell on fc's. I myself have the Apex N1 which you might call "coffee can" but it sounds sick as ****, very deep tone, not raspy or ricey at all.

Is your car turbo or na?

i have a duel A'pexi dunk system with a 3" rb downpipe. love the sound. not loud at all untill you get on it. Then it has a nice deep sound. Not chainsaw like at all.

I think im gonna go with an na. cause with turbos come problems im not ready to deal with yet. i wanna know my car before i do that. and the turbos would make working on it alot harder as well.

i would get the car first then mods later...your gonna have to put money into a used 7 no its or but about it

save the cash...soon you will have to spend a lot of literally

steps first
1 get the car
2 fix whats wrong with it
3 full tune up
4 then mod

you are going backwards here ,remember you aint playing with hondas here

yea, agreed, get the car first. Also, being that FCs are older cars, get suspension work done first. I went for power first, but now kind of regret it.
-Bert

PS: the exhaust I have currently on my FC is the Apexi GT spec exhaust. It's got a nice low deep tone, but being that I live in the communist republic of california, I've been constantly harassed by our beloved city police for (supposed broken exhaust, unusual noise, and also modified exhaust).

yeah there is a good percentage out there that will slap a muffler on before anything else. But that goes for a lot of cars. Most people dont need to rebuild there motor because it is reliable and doesnt need one yet. I would say there is a good quantity of honda people out there going for the J-spec motors. They are both higher quality and produce better performance. ok now back to subject.

research the rx7 before you plan on buying it. I can say i didnt research it and it kinda just fell into my lap, but now that i know more about them im not so thrilled on owning one. Be aware that they dont get the greatest gas mileage, and they inject oil. But all in all its a nice car if you keep it in healthy condition.
