exhaust leak

i have a huge exhaust leak. the funny thing is that its not in the pipes. its from the engine. is there a plug that blows in the engine when the pressure gets to high? cause there is a hole right above the exhaust manifold. i think it should be plugged with something, thats the way it seems in the haynes manual. im not sure, i have looked through that thing time and time again but i havent found anything about a plug or anything of the sort. someone told me that it sounded like maybe the cat got plugged and this thing poped out to releave the pressure. anything? my last thread didnt get much and i need to fix my car.

pull off your cats and inspect them

sounds like an o2 sensor to me as well

is the hole threaded? btw.. DONT drive with all those fumes / heat blowing right into the engine bay..

yes the O2 sensor is there. the hole is on the block, in the houseing, between the two rotors, not on the exhaust system.

That doesn't sound good, got a digi cam so you could take some pics? Looks like you've got a good reason to get a new racing beat header.
