Hi all,

Just unflooded my 86 GXL using the ATF method. When I started the car up, a good deal of smoke came from the engine bay. I couldn't tell where exactly smoke was comming from. Looked like the exhaust manifold. Is it supposed to smoke from the bay? When I rev the engine, the underhood gets a little 'foggy' but i cant seem to see where the exhaust is leaking... Any tips?

Also, got a problem with an 89 automatic. The speedometer shows like 3X the speed. It registers about 90mph while driving 30mph (kinda cool actually). I am not sure what too look for in an automatic.

the manifold may be cracked, bad gasket, or maybe leaking by egr.
you just have to keep looking and figure it out
