RB Road Race Header
8" long collector into 3" Pipe
3" Spintech "muffler"
3" pipe to a 3" Series 40 Flowmaster
This is LOUDER than a CORKSPORT ever dreamed of being.
Oh well a couple hours of cutting and welding down the tubes. Back to the shop for more experimentiing

Banzi trust me his is WAYYYY louder! The spintech mufflers really don't do much muffleing, and I would never suggest for anyone to buy them, unless you buy a truck/RV, because they are supposed to be the quitest. But they are built VERY nice, and give pretty much little if any back pressure, I suppose that would be good for turbo cars, but not great fot NA's. I wish I would have know that before I built the one on AE_racers car.
Also for everyone that said that exaust wouldn't last longer that 1 week, AE_racer your gonna have to tell how it's holding up.

i know spintech mufflers will hold up cuz there a completely different design... i will say one thing tho... the only thing there good for is V8s!!!!! i used to be into honda tuning.... they gave us a free 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust with a spintech muffler for an integra type R... with stock exhaust , jdm itr header, aem CAI it dyno'd at 177 pretty strong for an ITR... with spintech exhaust and highflow cat.... ( same day dyno.... took the exhaust off put the spintech one on ) the car dyno'd at 170 flat.... =\ the muffler design i think is only good for v8's or that sort cuz they put out awesome numbers on those big v8's.... anyways if you think im bs'ing i beleive the owners name is Chris Anderson... or that sort i went to his shop before... well organized cool guy too.... but hte mufflers just dont seem to work on these low displacement cars..

I went 3" because I had a 3" spintech and some 3" tubing and mandral bends on the shelf. New parts are on order. These parts will go back on the shelf for future use on another project. I still want to get a dyno run on this combo though.

on a NA motor, ur supposed to go no bigger then a 2 1/4 in piping, atleast on a piston engine, i dont know how different it would be for a rotary motor though.

Rotors still spinning

I love the Spintech mufflers. They are designed and built very nicely. I never said they were quiet though! My friend does have 2 of them on a V8 and that is one awesome machine. I guess the rotaries should sick with a muffler that uses some sort of internal packing rather than baffles. I knew it would last longer than 1 week!
