I have the older Greddy Power Extreme, it's pretty quiet with a straight pipe before it (3" SS down and mid pipe) (mine is turbo though). The only down side is that it has huge tips, but it is pretty quiet which is what I likes, it's just a bit louder than a stock 350z when I step on it, cruising I hardly notice it over a stocker.

My bad, in your first post you stated you were looking for something for an 88. If it's actually an 89 you have, then yes, you're fine.

Go with Racing Beat...bought one used recently for my 90 model. Everything they say here on this forum about it is absolutely true. It sounds great inside and outside of the car! Not one complaint.

1) Its cheaper (costs nothing because it uses what you already have)

Ok, sounds good. Little FYI, I don't know if you have smog tests in PA but you will not pass them with a gutted cat. You will also be polluting more.

I can't even give you a gross estimate as to how much gain this would be, but its not a lot.
