exhast leak
i have an exhaust leak coming somewhere from my cats and i cant pinpoint the location. is it safe for the motor to just remove the precats and main cat and replace it with staight pipe...not worrying about emissions. i want to get a header also. so it would be a header...straight pipe...then my apex n1 dual... is that ok or should i get them fixed or replaced???

if you dont have to worry about emissions just loose them, engine will be fine... actualy it will thank you with a lil more power
also, i see you are also in jersey... what are your plans for getting around emissions

in two years when the time comes for me i too must find "a friend"
as far as running the header right to the catback, you might wanna put a presilencer in the middle... if you dont want it to be really loud

I've got the same thing. It pisses me off. Thankfully, I'm looking into a Bonez race pipe. It completely replaces all three cats with a straight pipe and a pre-silencer, and bolts to the stock manifold.
