Check out my new laptop holder! pixs

Its height, wieght, side to side and tilt adjustable. Its not done yet, still going to paint the base. Does come with plastic on the arms. My buddy and I might start making them if there is some desire, PM if interested..

Does it give the all-important "DANGER TO MANIFOLD" warning?

heh..pic #3 sort of makes it look like the inside of a cop car....

pretty good job though...looks like it could be lightweight considering the need to have a weight at the base, or it could just be the height of the poles and stuff causing it to "torque"

It looks kinda big, space is a concern in these small cars Is there any way you can mount it under the dash on the pass side and have it come out and up to where you need it? You might be able to get someone in there while having it installed...

I have not weight it yet, but its setup for tuning. Not for showing off/racing etc. Easiably removable, hence the weight and not brackets etc. With the arm, the wieght of the labtop is multiplied, just as leverage with torque, therefore it would have to be bolted to the firewall, so that idea got thrown out...

Ugh, yeah, if I were "buddy", I would be kinda nervous with large amounts of metal inches away from my junk, especially since it's only being held down by a weight that could slip off if jolted hard enough... ::ouch::

lol santiago...

uhm, well it looks alright for offroad use, Although it is a little big, it's not that bad, I would have made it a little smaller, possibly not coming from the passenger side floor, I could think of a few cool setups that would make it look nice.. but for tuning.. that looks pretty good.

DANGER TO MANIFOLD

ROTFLMFAO!!!!

Dude honestly, WHY in the hell do you need a laptop in your car? Do you realize that by the time you install a haltech, any possible gains will be countered by that 50 pound weight laying on your 50 pound base that's attached to your 30 pound robotic-looking arm that's attached to a 15 pound laptop?

Wouldnt it be easier to tune your car whenever you need to like normal people?

I'm not bashing your "invention", it's quite unique, and I like it, i just don't see it as being practical. And if I ever see someone playing solitaire on the highway and swerving, I'll run them off the road, pull em out and shove that laptop where the sun don't shine.

I've got my laptop mounted behind the passanger seat on the floor. You are now thinking "how the **** can you use it there?" but it's just an mp3 player currently, so I don't need to touch the keys... Eventually I'm going to have a touchscreen LCD mounted in the dash..
