exaust in car (gettin stoned on 90 octane)
i get a really bad but progressively groovy smell that comes into my car when im driving at almost any speed
ive got some minor body damage to the back of the car (there when i got it) but the hatch looks unaffected, from closer inspection it looks like the haatch isnt coming far enough down to actually seal it. can the hatch come out of line or can the whole side of the car be too low or something
it sucks
is there anything anyone can do for me as in advice or just saying, "man that sucks" that would make me feel slightly better
i come to school every day feeling a little higher

try this...
I had that problem in a racer 1st gen, rear light lens was out...so you probably have 1 of 2 possibilities to look for.
First just check under the hood while the car is running and see if you can smell that same smell from the engine compartment....no? ok move to the next
remove some of the carpetting from the rear of your RX-7 (also take out the spare) so that you can see metal and such...then take a bright light and put it up there (or get a friend to help you). Then from outside of the car, inspect for "beams of light" coming to the outside. (Best guess would be look for gaps around the light lens' from the minor rear end damage).
You should be able to find it then.
If that doesn't work then just get in the car and seal it off good, smoke about 10+ joints and then get out real quick and try to see where the smoke is coming from j/k
EDIT: about that hatch thing...depending on the rear end damage, yes it could very well have messed up the alignment with the rubber seal for the hatch. If that is the case...not much you can do aside from some duct tape or a body shop.

For some reason the exhaust smell completely goes away when I turn on the recycle vents. Only problem is windows fog so I usually run the a/c when thats a problem. Even my mom cant smell it and shes affraid to plug in the xmas tree for fear of electricution.
