Question Exhaust Q?

Hi all,
A quick question here. I have a 88 N/A that I just recently bought. I need to totaly replace the cats (failed emmisions and need to be rechecked) beacuse they are falling apart and I can sometimes see exhaust comming out of them. I have brand new precat #2 and main cat on the way and I plan on buying a dynomax exhaust (y-pipe and dual mufflers). I was just wanting to make sure that this would still make enough backpressure for my aux ports. I plan on cleaning the ports over christmas in a feew weeks too, so that should help, I do belive that they are working right now, but I dont know for sure. Finaly after I pass my emissions I would like to put a high flow cat on, would this still make enough backpressure?

Sorry for the long post,

Thanks

~Anthony

As long as you have the stock piping size (2.5" I think) and at least one cat, then yes enough backpressure.

The setup I have on my convertible works great. I just use the stock piping, HKS mufflers, high flow main cat (rated for the rotary engine), and downpipe to replace the pre-cat,

My emissions are so good, I'm hitting near california emission numbers.
