ever mess w/ the rich/lean screw?

Has anyone ever messed with this, it is on the passenger fender.

I have mesed with mine, dont know if it helped any because my MAPs isn't set right

Keep in mind this only affects mixtures at idle.

how the hell

you get that stuff thats in there blocking the screw out, its all caked up and hard.

Been there, done that. The ECU will only pay attention to this setting when the Initial Set Connector is jumpered. On a warm engine idling at 750 rpm with the connector on, turn the screw until you achieve the highest idle. Readjust to 750 rpm if needed, re-adjust. That's it, your idle mix is now set.

Then what about the 89-91 engines. MY adjust screw is above the plenum. I adjusted it without a jumper. How would I do this?????

i was told not to mess with this because your gas mileage will be horrible, don't know if theres any truth to it. I used a drill to cut out the black stuff in there.

Only 1986-1988 Zenki FC's have this mixture screw...
