Got a scan of the dyno sheet?
What kinda exhaust are you running?

There is only so much you can do with the porting, and I have a feeling the exhaust system has a lot to do with the high torque numbers...

I will post it in a minute. The setup when it was in Jimi325i's car when he dynoed it was collected header, single exhaust no cats, gasket matched intake manifolds and a cone filter. Apexi safc set at - 3% across the board. He sadi the dyno operator was a moron and kept adding dinking around with the safc and didn't know what he was doing.

161hp - 159tq : That's a shitload of TQ, improper readings from the dyno possible?

The 161hp seems easily feesable, however i am stumped on those TQ numbers...

no mistake bro! Here is a dyno sheet, the only one I have with a/f ratios, I have another run sheet with a little different numbers, but really close to this one.

that dyno sheet looks to show two horsepower and a/f readings, no torque. i'm just glad your car stayed on the dyno with the earthquake that occured at 4500rpm.

What brand header?
What size was the pipes on the rest of the exhaust system?

theres no torque on that dyno run.......and based on the power curve he's not making crazy torque.. i checked 3 rpm points and he's not making over 125 ft/lbs.. and he's got a crazy lean spike at the secondary injector switch over point...

I know you said PP's don't count in this thread drago86, but come on, this is quite impressive none the less.

a quote from pp13bnos, i just stumbled across this in This thread.

"I was making 130ish rwhp@4,500rpms and nearly 150ftlbs of torque@4,500rpms.. Thats more than a stock 2nd gen puts down at peak power.

CJ"

130rwhp@only 4.5kRpms is pretty damm good I think...

I think i've just decided i'm going to stop wasting my dremel pieces on my irons and start killing some hole saws instead for this rebuild i'm doing now.

FWIW, it's also interesting what was said about bucking problems..

"Not to mention, with a full PP motor, you don't get a low RPM "bucking" as with alot of large bridge ported motors. "

Sounds like that'll be a go instead of a bridgeport I think.

If you read it said that that is the sheet showing a/f ratios. I never made that run it was Jimmi325i who did when he still had that motor in his car. I have not yet dynoed the motor in my car. Do you want the torque sheet also?

Yes thats quite the spike at 4500. Jimmi told me that the operator really had no clue what to tune.

Ted- I have no idea what brand header it was, or the pipe diameter. You would have to check with Jimmi325i. I did not use his exhaust system, in na trim I used true duals.

i did read it, you said it was the only dyno with a/f ratios. everyone is curious about the torque, so i thought that's what you were trying to post. when i think of a dyno sheet, i think of a horsepower line and a torque line. that's all.

As far as the cost of a standalone ecu being somewhat of a road block for the average person wanting to make a fast NA, MegaSquirt might be the answer. I'm pretty sure Mazdaspeed7 has built one already. I'm waiting for the UltraMegaSquirt, then its go time.

read the whole thread. Ted and I were talking about A/F ratios thats why I posted that graph, just tomake you happy here is the hp and torque graph.

Again these were done when Jimmi325i had the motor so please don't ask me about the runs.

here is the only other I can find from Jimmi325i

hah, okay man, i read it the first time, then i read your and his replies again. A/Fs weren't mentioned that much. not enough to be called a "discussion" in my opinion. i dont really care though, so i'm dropping it.
as for your dynosheet, it says 155 for max tq, but that refers to the catastrophic spike, the actual torque seems to peak around 130.

So whats the official Rx7club verifyed NA rwhp record? (RETed's 3 rotor and the PP's doent count)

I believe it was around 274bhp on a 2 rotor PP with a carb setup.
