Question Error code 26, 27, replaced OMP, still not working. WTf?

What could it be then? Could the circuits be fried or something? Anyone out there with a similar experience?

Cheers,

D

This came from Sure Shot a while back:

Check & clean the OMP connector's contact pins on the alternator pivot bracket.
Also after you changed the OMP, hopefully you cleasned the codes by disconnecting the battery for a short period.

if the codes wont clear when you reset the battery then you will need a new ecu. this happened to me recently...omp went out and fried the ecu, why it does this im not sure but its fairly common.

Just curious what happened when your ecu fried? Did your car still run, but like crap? Or did it not run at all?
