engine swap soon

my engine's coolant seal has given away and i was going to put my spare engine in (both are series 4 engines). the other engine was carb. and i want to swap over the fuel injection. while doing this swap i was going to get rid of the emissions i dont really need so i was going to ask if anyone knew exactly what i need and what to remove. ive searched through the threads but couldnt find anything detailed. i would also like to know of some things that i could replace other than gaskets and the vacuum lines (that i will actually keep). i need help and i was planning on doing this soon so i would like to say thank you in advanced.

Please actually search. Use "emissions removal".

Thanx.

S4 N/A Emissions Removal

S4 TII Emissions Removal

Keep the Bypass Air Control Valve (BACV a.k.a. BAC). I wouldn't mess too much with the throttle body. The "throttle body mod" is pretty much useless.

Quality emissions block off plates -> Rising RPM Block Off Plates

I hate to thread jack FC3S Reaver, but I like the look of that Rising RPM stuff. I only see TII though, do you know if they have anything for an N/A? I know most of the block off plates will fit both, but not all.

It makes no difference if you are logged in, it only makes a difference if you use the proper search terms.

If you have access to the pd go ahead and replace it w/ a banjo bolt (search "banjo bolt"). There are no documented failures of any sort due to lack of a pd. There are numerous documented engine fires resulting directly from pd failures. Case closed.

The reason I posted both N/A and TII emissions removal links, was because you never stated whether it was N/A or Turbo... Which now I realize that you did point out that one engine was carbureted. I assume it was not a carbureted turbo engine. So, I apologize for the TII block-off link.

What is it that you mean when you say, "but is there anything else i should look out for when im swapping the stuff over?" ? What are you "swapping over" when removing emissions? Things to swap from an EFI engine to a carbureted engine?

Here are some links that contain some N/A block-off plates...

Pineapple Racing: Block-off Plates

Mazda Trix: Block-off Plates

I originally was going say that... The reason I didn't say N/A is because it's completely debatable. The "TB mod" is a thing of the past. You'll be better off just not even messing with the throttle body... Whether it be N/A or turbo. I chose to go with a general statement.

well the engine i will taking out is just a stock n/a but the one i am putting in has a racing beat intake manifold and had a holley carb on it. i dont want the carb setup anymore so i was going to just swap over the intake manifold and basically all of the stuff for the fuel injected motor to the other one. they both are series 4 n/a blocks its just the one that i will be putting in has the intake manifold for a carb. i had that setup on my old car and i like the fuel injection alot more. it more consistent and alot better on gas .

i looked it up and if it ends up that the pd is leaky i will do this fix..... its alot cheaper than getting a new pd
