should go straight in.

why would you swap it though?

take the money for the jdm and get your engine rebuilt.

I don't see how much an improvement a JDM 13bt would make over the one you have.

Even the cheapest J-spec would run you close to $1000 after shipping. For that much money, you could easily afford a good rebuild.

J-spec don't always work. Sometimes they need to be rebuilt too.

i was actually just curious about the same topic? Are jspecs the exact same as T2 engines? My guess would be that they are missing only some minor things that reduces emissions... haha dont tell me to search cause thats what im doing now. btw i didnt start this thread lol.

osaka has j specs for $950 shipped.

but they are really just a roll of the dice.

Kevin Landers rebuild will run you around 2k, but you will be driving on basically a brand new engine.

with a j spec, you don't know what in the hell you are getting

Exactly. You could just end up with an engine that has been rotting on some lot since 1994 with 120k klicks and blown seals. Also, I'd be causious about Osaka, some people that have gotten B-series from them have been very unpleased. Deffently check out Honda-Tech or any of the 240SX forums to make sure a dealer is legit and quality, those guys have lots of experince with various importers.

I have a jspec t2 sitting in my garage right now. All that's different I can see is a lack of an EGR valve.
