Engine stumbles/cuts out When CAS wire is wiggled

Ok my harness wires going past the alternator from the CAS appear to have a problem. I wiggle the wires and the engine stumbles. There was a braided wire that I grounded. This seemed to fix things for a moment, but is there a ground wire there that Im missing. I have done the wire at the top of the engine. Help!

That shield (braided outer cover wiring) should be grounded somewhere. The FSM does not show where, unlike the 02 sensor who's ground is shown.

In other words I've no clue just where it is grounded. I'll check my cars in the next few days and see what I can find. There's nothing wrong with grounding that outer shield, especially if it seems to be effecting the engines running. It wouldn't take much of a gnd wire. A singel 18-20 gauge wire should do the job.

Are you Real sure it's not the connector or it's wires that are maybe loose?????

ya it didnt run for a while, and I grounded the braided wire in there. That seemed to fix the problem, but now its back again with a vengance. I will ground all the ecu wires, and check the CAS sensor for 'airgap' inside. I believe the wires are good at the connector but I will double check it again. Any other suggestions?

It grounds in the harness near the ECU. There's a little metal clip that connects it to another ground.
