Question Engine stand questions

When you guys put the front plate on an engine stand, how many bolts do you put through the stand? I got nuts on the two studs, and I got another bolt going through a hole on that same side of the front plate. Is that going to be enough to hold the whole engine when its complete? I'd hate to have my **** fall on the floor.

Thanks a lot

I've never used a real engine stand when I do a rebuild.
I just use a nice big workbench and use 2 short 4x4 wood pieces. I drill two holes in one of them for the upper most water pump studs.
Works great.
