Yeah it is super easy to remove a motor from an FC. Make sure you either drain the stuff out of the block before pulling it in the garage, or have a few buckets for oil and water The FSM does a good job of describing it. Next time I pull mine (quite often actually) I'll take some notes and pics

Do a search in here, and you also might find something.

one piece of advice... REMOVE HARNESS THROUGH FIREWALL FIRST
it makes it a whole lot easier, a lot of people(including myself, the 1st time) take the intake runners and throttle body etc. off to disconnect the harness. just pull it through the firewall
other than that, they are pretty easy

when you say pull the harness through the firewall, you mean to the engine side right?? And is this the 2 small plugs?? From what I understand there are 3, 1 large and 2 small, and the 2 go to the motor. Please correct me if I am wrong.

how the heck do you get the top bellhousing bolts off without pulling the intake manifold off?

i did it to my 87TII a few days ago. you have to disconnect like 5 or so connectors from inside of the car to the ecu
you have to do a bit of work-pull carpet and kickplate and find which connectors to unplug, but its worth it
its a little difficult to work them through the firewall also

easy, either w/ a long extension from underneath or w/ a long wrench from the top. i did have to take off the intercooler on the turbo motor to get em though
