check for coolant leaks first. also could be a bad thermostat but doubt it since the coolant light/buzzer is coming on. it sounds like you have coolant seals that are going bad or maybe a cracked intermediate housing. if you're constantly adding coolant and don't have a leak, coolant is leaking into the conbustion chamber and combustion gases are getting into the cooling system causing it to get hot. if that's the case the motor will need to be pulled and taken apart to replace the water seals/cracked housing.

first of all...... check your hoses.... make sure they are secure, i had the problem last year, coolant was gushing out of my radiator, but i never bothered to look when i filled it.... by the time i would notice the "H" i didnt have anymore coolant.

second, use a funnel, and add coolant as the car is running, look for any significant leaks, smoke from the engine bay.... keep filling your filler neck til it wont suck in anymore coolant (fill at the water pump filler neck and not at the overflow tank).

lastly, make sure that coolant is not coming out of your radiator cap.

first and foremost..... top off your coolant

he didnt mention any leaks or smoke...so i have to assume the simplest solution

if the add coolant buzzer goes off....then add coolant...from there you diagnois the problem

heres a lesson for you, always double check what shops do on your car, don't bring your car to get the oil changed and not check it before you leave.....adn you should give more information on the first post, because usually the simplist anwser is the correct one. You didn't mention anything about it being in a shop, or the the shop filled it up...so i just assumed that it needed more coolant. Check you t-stat..may be stuck closed
