Its been 1500 miles and from the time of the oil change to now the oil on the dipstick hasnt moved. . . kindve worried. What COULD be or go wrong if my engine stopped consuming oil?

 

Do you have any smoke ever? If your oil control rings are going out I have actually heard of the oil level going UP from gas seeping in. If this is the case it can thin out the oil potentially causing bearing wear. If it isn't injecting oil at all then it can cause internal damage to the housings.

now that i think about it it's been like 2000 miles and my dipstick says its dead on in the middle i think i'll go check it again lol

 

Start premixing just in case you oil metering pump isin't functioning.

 

Kinda like Sideways said, if you have gas seeping in it could "counteract" the normal dropping oil level from the OMP.

 

The FSM and Haynes manual has instructions for testing the metering oil pump flow. Follow them.

If operational checkout is no good than (as someone mentioned above) how much should i premix to a full tank?

 

Generally people with no OMP run 128:1, or 1 oz. premix to 1 Gal of gas. People that have the omp but run it addition as a safety precaution usually use around 250:1 or 300:1

Typically what happens is you gain as much "oil" volume by the addition of gasoline as you lose from the oil injection. This is much more of a problem in the turbo cars that run richer; in which case they often gain "oil".

Does your oil have a fuel scent to it?

Of course, you should still check to see that your oil injection is working.

The Yamaguchi book states in the early races Mazda hoped no one would notice as they emptied a bit of oil every pit stop to keep the engine oil from overflowing.

Premix is oil that is added to the gasoline in the tank, so that as gas is injected it includes lubrication.

The ratio is how much gas to how much premix oil. 100:1 is typical for regular use and 50:1 or more oil is used in extreme applications.

Premix can be any oil, but specialized oil formulated for clean burn or lubricating deposits is preffered. It is sold labeled as "2 stroke oil "or "premix oil".

 

Any 2-stroke oil that meets the TCW-3 spec (ashless) will do.
