as i was tring to get my 90 n/a home and park it untill i could get the clutch ordered and take it in to get it fixed, then the car shacked and a big puff of smoke came out, the car costed to a stop. im worried i jacked up the trany. i can put the car in any gear without a problem and the car idles just fine but i wont even attempt to move in gear. is this normal when a clutch goes out or would there be something else that may have broke as well? any help is appreciated.

 

The tranny will usually gets noisy before it fails.

It's likely just the clutch.
You will probably need to resurface the flywheel also.
