Engine mount question.

Ok I have a few questions about engine mounts. My mazda dealership looked at my car and it turns out my right engine mount and transmission mount is missing (damn last owner) so my whole drive train is being supported by the left engine mount. I want to replace all 3, but I need ot know if I can use any 13b motor mounts for the FC body style, or if the turbo needs certain ones, also, how much should I expect to pay for someone's used mounts out of a crashed 7 or if they replaced them with higher performance ones for tourquey apps. AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE READING!!!!!! then here you go:

1)Are 87 N/A & Turbo II mounts the same?
2)How much would left/right engine mounts and manual tranny mounts cost used?

go solid...they don't break and you will get a little benefit out of it in the performance area. http://www.mmr-direct.com/ has them for pretty cheap

Yes, only vert and coupe mounts are different.

2)How much would left/right engine mounts and manual tranny mounts cost used?
usually around $40 each, for standard ones, and around $50 each for Mazdaspeed ones

Don't be cheap.... Hockey pucks loose their rigidity really fast and after two weeks it'll just as soft as stock, and eventually completely disintegrate.

Thumbs up

Another for Banzai motor/tranny mounts...I have both and they are very nice pieces. They are extremely stiff without the harshness of solid alum. pieces.

oh one more question, my car is also missing a splash sheild, is it important and if so where can I get one? Once again Mazda gave me a high quote but then again all OEM dealership parts are rediculous.

i prefer the mazdaspeed over ALL mounts, solids are teeth chatteringly annoying, Banzai's poly's are decent but also cause minor vibrations and as well if the bolts are not perfectly tensioned they have a tendency to shear off. the mazdaspeeds last a good long while and are just stiff enough to not feel any drivetrain vibrations.

do you have a link for the mazdaspeed part? all they seem to have on the mazda site are the mazdaspeed current vehicles.
