Car is a 1990 N/A 5speed. I just did a engine swap. now after 20 minutes the car engine light turns on and the car starts to run slugish after about 3500+ RPM. I have changed the air flow meter, and fuel pump opening relay under the dash. The car turns on fine. it runs good all the way till the engine light turns on. Now the codes i got where 17-feedback system for 02 sensor. 23-fuel thermo sensor. 27-Metering oil pump. I have ran the car for about 3 days like this after installing the engine. What you guys think? i really dont know what do the parts that all the codes gave me are. I need to know whats their job. Is there a place where i can find the definition to these parts. Please HELP me!!!!!! hope i gave enough info.

The OMP put it into the limp mode. You need to check and make sure it is operating correctly

Better start running premix until you iron out the OMP error issue.

Trace check all wires in harness from sensors & mop to the ECU. Something isn't connected or is shorted out.

 

Ok that i will do.. what about the 17-feedback system for 02 sensor and the 23-fuel thermo sensor?

 

Same deal--(17)look for electrical short, test the 02 operation, or just replace it. And, change the spark plugs.

(23)--I dunno! Didn't see that one in my FSM. Find a 1990 FSM and read its debug for it.

91 fsm shows no such thing as a code 23. Try again. That makes the 17 suspect also, although one exists for 17.
