Engine info help

I'm looking for someone or someplace to educate me on the 86-88 non-turbo engine. I'm looking to swap in my second engine I bough this year and I have no Idea what is a vacuum line on my engine and what is a coolant line (Want to simplify this engine a bit while keeping it reliable). I have download a few service manual and they don't seem to help me out...can anyone here help me?

Well here is a pic of my spare engine. pick any rubber line and tell me what it does and if it would be a good idea to block off or not.

well are you going to want to e-test this baby or not? Because there's not too much to black off if the emissions needs to stay intact

then you'll need pretty much everything hooked up...I believe the only things you can really block off will be the coolant flow to the throttle body if you want to disconnect the cold start feature.

You'll need all the help you can get passing an E-test here. But you shouldn't have any trouble as long as everything' working well.

But yeah, as far as blocking off goes you can't really get away with too much...Im assuming this is an N/A since the sample engine is as well?
