Engine Building Questions

I am getting the money from my accident (my 88t2) and i am going to start buying the parts to build my engine for my 10th ae. My plans are s4 turbo engine with s5 turbo rotors, new housings, rx8 e-shaft and gears, and a good street port. But have run into a couple questions, 1 i want new housings but the s4 plates are good so i am going to use them along with the s4 intake ect. but i heard the s5 turbo side housings have a harder chrome coating and was thinking about getting those but then wondered if the s4 intake will fit right with the different side housings? Also i have been reading on the rx8 e-shaft and hoping it is like everyone says and is a direct drop in and decided to go with that but will there be any differences when i go to bolt on the flywheel and put the front cover and stuff on? Also i am going to be putting a gt35r t4 turbo kit on it and boosting around 12psi with all the mods to support it but wondering which apex seals would be right for me either 2mm or 3mm, was looking at atkins because i have heard and saw how well they do in boost and high hp conditions but then again i have heard there is nothing like a oem seal and was thinking about going with those but wondering with these new housings, around 350rwhp, and about 12psi how well they will hold up(i know they can but want to make sure). I have been searching and the atkins seals have been proving well but dont want to make the wrong choice with new housings . Thanks

S5 turbo and S5 NA are the same housing except for the coolant passage and knock sensor AFAIK... th FD ones have a different chrome coating though.

With new housings, get OEM seals or Ceramic!

I did the research recently in a thread ..searching....

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/apex-seals-new-housings-vs-used-697162/

I bought new housings as well and didn't want to make the wrong choice.. it was pretty much unanimous for Mazda OEM seals.

Oh.. and every resource I've found says the RX-8 shaft is a direct swap in.. but, I have yet to see anybodies feedback about noticeable performance gain... I would imagine the impact is negligible.

Yea i have been doing a little searching while waiting for post think i am going with the oem seals. I wasnt sure if the bolt pattern was the same from s4 to s5 i did not want to mix match and have to make a gasket to fit it and my manifold not to fit right. Thanks for you posts kinda hard to search to the right topic to find your answer sometimes.

Have been searching for the best place to buy new housings was looking to get new s5 housings but was reading that s6 housings are interchangeable and are the way to go. Is this true and are the totaly interchange able without any mods. If so i will buy them heard they have a better coating too. Thanks
