Engine Bay Smokin'!
Engine Bay Smokin'!
Okay so I found out just earlier that my transmission needs some synth fluid from aaron cake, so Im like "I can take the car across town to drop my haynes manual off at a friends place" so I go and I drop it off and I come back and my "check coolant" goes nuts at the first intersection
, so pull into an intersection and add some to the overflow thinking "It's just the leak on the rad cap gasket so I take off again and it went off as soon as I started moving so im thinking "It's all good" so we get to the next light and we're hearing some funky *** clunking sound comming from around where the transmission should be, or at least we think thats where we it was so my friend tells me "Go faster and make it home quick" so alil ways up the highway we turn off to my road and slowed down and then we saw the big gust of smoke which smelled like antifreeze, I think, comming from underneith the car, this is where I think "just at the end of the road I can make it" so I baby her home
and pull into my parking spot and I see the HUGE billowing cloud come out from under the engine bay.. I pop the hood and look and it seems to be comming from the rear of the engine... still smells alot like anti-freeze, my friend and I were choking on the fumes. He loves to smoke and even that was chokin' him. Anyways so
then I rush in the house and think "OMG MUST POST ON FORUM!" so here it is... Please please please help me out! tell me that there is some radiator piping that goes back there and I just got to replace it! Tell me there is hope left for my ghetto slowly dying 7!

same problem here for a while man if you look behind your oil filter on the firewall there is a heater core hose return to the block that could be loose or it is cut and is leaking coolant onto your block which is burning and smoking it happened to me you need to check both line that go to the heater core the other is on the passenger side but it isnt near the tranny so its probally the driver side one that will stop your smoke inside it did for me
Wow thats a great releif!
Now I need to know how I'm gonna get that sucker off, I left my haynes manual at my friends place, and where I can get a replacement one.
Oh and whats your mom look like?

get the factory service manual at www.fc3s.org. Also check the coolant line that comes out of the throttle body and goes under the intake manifold. That line tends to leak alot.
If you cant get that off without a haynes manual thats sad but you can get them at any parts store dont go to mazda for them cause theyll rip you an *** and what the **** is this whats my mom look like
