I wasn't very impressed. I was hoping to talk to a lot of vendors, but I'm not into fancy wheels or neon lighting, so there went that idea. I actually kinda liked the hooptie with the spinning wheels because it was different, and there was an FC with some nice anodized engine parts. Yeah, there were like 7 girls in the bikini contest, and there weren't even very many cars racing. The burnout contest was pretty lame compared to the Aussie contests. I guess the Americans don't quite understand that you need to make a lot of noise along with the smoke. All in all it was more hype than substance, which shouldn't surprise me I guess since that's the entire ricer theme.

I thought it was okay. I saw the rx-7 from the Fast and the Furious…it’s an automatic! The NOPI chicks were hot! There were a lot of sweet looking 3rd gen rx-7s…I wish I had one. I saw some awesome races with some turbo II cars and some other rotary’s, which kicked butt! All in all, had a good time but the sun took all my energy away so I didn’t stay for the foam party.

I will be in Atlanta for the Nopi show..We are staying both nights...I won't be bringing my FC though, Because I am poor...I will be riding with my buddy in his Acura Integra with DvD player and X-Box...I won't have to drive so I can watch a few movies and play some Outlaw Golf on the way up there...

I'm also not going this year, because I decided to buy some 18x8.5" Work Rezax II rims for my vert.

That volvo would be a sleeper on the streets! You are sitting at a light and some camero or mustang pulls up next to you and revs his engine to race and you smoke him. lol

ohhhh yeaaaa! volvo are the king of sleepers. nothin ilike better than smokin a mustang at a redlight. and no it wasnt me at nopi, but im building a 740 that should be running mid 13s. thats if i can get a tranny that will hold the torque. the stock manuals are junk and i absolutly refuse to put in a slushbox.....unless i have to.
thare wer accualy 2 volvos running. i beleave te one you say run the 14 was a v8 conversion that is capable of 9 but the officals said he couldnt do it cause of insuficent safety gear, so he did a burn out like the whole way down the track
