Emissions removal help

http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...s_removal.html

ok so i followed the above guide in order to remove the emissions crap. I got the block off plates from banzai racing today and i installed them. everything looked good, the car started and then it died. so sounds like a vacuum leak to me.

trouble is...i have no idea where. i blocked off all the vacuum nipples in said guide, but in step 26, i dont have two of those nipple things there. there is just one. so im not sure what to make of it. i know im supposed to leave one vented to atmosphere. is the lower oil thing its talking about the hose that goes to the charcoal canister?

the guide i followed didnt mention anything about that canister so im not sure what to do about that.

i might have had a problem installing the throttle stop plate, but its on there. so im not sure if that might be the problem.

help?

for step 26, you do hvae those nipples.

They are located on the oil filler tube. Then another right below it on the actual "iron" of the engine. There might be a hose on the one on the iron going to the charcoal canister. If you leave that hose to the canister connected, blowby from the engine will go into the canister and plug it up with gunk. I would run a proper catch-can setup so your engine gets properly vented. There is a very recent thread that covered this if you search. It involves using a PCV valve, a catch-can, and hoses.

If you did the throttle body mod and removed the BAC, you now have won the honor to hold your gas pedal during startup until the car fully warms up. If you don't do this it will die since you have now removed all your idle assisting equipment. If this is not your problem, make sure your intake manifold gaskets are good and that you followed the guide and plugged all unused vacuum ports.

You mean if he removed his cold start thermowax right? I have no BAC and get a 2k idle at start up, and can get up and walk away from the car immediately after starting.

I thought BAC only helped with engine load (AC, PS) and idle correction once the engine is warm.

From the loss of all that weight. Have you no idea how much a rubber hose weighs. Cheeez. Tsk, tsk.

tb mod

From my understanding and correct me if I'm wrong that the tb mod on turbos gives a slightly crisper thottle. (Not much tho) and on n.a's it really doesnt do anything.
