HI. I TOOK OUT MY AIR PUMP ON MY 89. ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO DO. IM GOING TO TAKE OUT MY 6 PORT SLEEVES LATER AND NEEDED TO LEARN HOW TO TAKE EM OUT. THE MANIFOLD IS EXPOSED RIGHT NOW BUT DONT WANT TO BOLT IT OFF.

ALSO, IM TAKING OUT THE POWER STEERING AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE THREE LINES CONNECTED TO IT. IS THIER FLUID COMING OUT. IS THIER MY OIL PUMP CONNECTED TO IT?

ALSO I WANT TO TAKE OUT ALL THOSE SELENOIDS,RELAYS,REGULATOR THINGS. THEY HAVE COLORFUL CONNECTORS ATTACHED BY METAL TUBES. DO TAKING OUT THESE TUBES MAKE THE CAR NOT RUN GOOD. MY INTAKES OFF AND NOTICED IT WOULD BE ALOT CLEANER WITHOUT THOSE METAL TUBES AND HOSES. IT ALSO ATACHES TO THE ACV THAT I WANT TO TAKE OUT.

IF SOMEONE HAS DONE THIS LIKE MAZDASPEED7, PLEASE TELL ME. IM IN THE CAR NOW BECAUSE OF A OIL LINE THAT ALMOST BROKE OFF AND DONT WANT TO DO THIS WHOLE PROCEDURE AGAIN.

 

i know you have to remove your cats, cause it will ruin em.

Between the info in the archives and the schematics in the FSM, there's more than enough info available to successfully remove the emission controls. It just requires a little research, and (gasp!) some work on your part to work it all out.
