i have a 90 gtu, TII exhaust, and it used to be a automatic tran. but i switched it to a manual.

problem-

i have no accleration AT ALL, i was driving to the falls usually takes about 30 min it took me 1 hr and half a tank! i had swapped to a manual ECU and thought that was the problem but it turns outs my ECU harness wires are bad. everytime i touch them my car dies. i dont know what to do and dessperatly need a soulution, possibly another harness form an s5 parts car!

any ideas what it could be?

 

First, there's no such thing as a "manual ECU." All S5 nonturbo ECUs can be interchanged no matter what transmission is in the car.

Second, if your wires are shorting out at the ECU, find out which ones are frayed and resolder/tape/wrap etc...Anything is better than nothing.
