Electrical Problems
So last night after finishing up some more of the major work on my t2 swap I started going over some electrical issues I've been having. The car in question is a 1990 GTU, the car has a t2 swap that I am still in the process of finishing installing as well as power steering and a/c deleted. Also have a momo wheel on an nrg thin quick release, automatic seat belts removed, and an aftermarket radio with a 1000w amp and 10 in sub hooked up to it. Those are the only mods I have that could possibly affect the electronics in the car.
None of these problems were present before removing my engine wiring harness to install it on the new engine except for the interior lights not working they haven't worked since I bought the car.
While I have the car turned off with the key out of the ignition I am able to turn on my cluster lights, head lights, ftp lights, high beams and the motors for the pop ups. I also have a steady beep coming from the p/s computer only when the lights are turned on with the car off, which I'm sure has something to do with the p/s not being there. Also none of my interior lights (dome/map, trunk, storage bins, center console) work when I open the door or turn on the lights.
Now when I have the key turned to both ACC or ON I have all the same problems as with the key out of the ignition as well as the following not working: radio, logicon, blinkers, power mirrors, and the warning lights/buzzer and clock.
From searching over the past few days i have ruled out the cold solder points for everything except the warning lights as I haven't taken them apart yet, the harness being connected improperly since I'm about 99.999% sure every plug matches up, and all the fuses in the fuse block by the cpu are all good. So far I have come up with several things that I should look into to sort these out. I plan to check out the main fuse, wiring, and ignition switch. For the head lights I plan on checking the wiring, fuses, relay, and possibly the light switch if everything else doesn't turn up anything. I'm also going to need to replace my pass headlight motor with a spare as it's failing and remove the p/s comp.
Could someone please let me know of anything more else or more specific I should check out. Also any additional insight as to what could be causing all this would be greatly appreciated.

As far as the blinkers are concerned, if the Turn fuse were good then the Black/Red wire at the nine wire turn signal switch in the cluster would have voltage w/key to on. Does yours?
And check the 60 amp BTN fuse.

I guess i never noticed you could turn those on with the car off. I'll have to dig out my multimeter when i get home from work and check out that wire for turn signals. What voltage should it read? I'm assuming 12v. And from what I found searching just now the BTN fuse has something to do with the interior lighting so i'll check that as well when i get home from work

BTN fuse was good as well as well as the main fuse. I ended up not needing to check the voltage on the wire to the blinkers because I decided to go over the wiring between the battery and engine fuse block and found a wire disconnected. As it would seem my friends enjoy messing with my while i work on my car. So now everything works with the exception of the interior lights. Thats not too big of a concern but I would like having my lights work. Any more suggestions for getting those to work?
