engine swap now flooding
ok so i should start that i have been doing a t2 swap into my gxl. the t2 was running perfeclty before it was pulled and now that it is in the gxl it floods.
i pulled the engine with the wirring harness and ecu and just plugged it right into the gxl. everything seems fine but the engine just floods too fast. when i had a few vaccum hoses unplug the car would start right up and then die, (die because of the vacum hoses). now when i pulll the fuse, crank it, then try to start it it does sputter a few times but not running.
so any bits of advice? questions? something i did wrong??? first time doing anything like this so any comments help.
thanks
joe

Which series is your car?
Pull the 40A EGI INJ. fuse, pull the spark plugs, put something to catch fuel spatter over the spark plug holes, turn the key about three times (5-10 seconds per try), thoroughly clean the plugs, reinstall them, put the 40A EGI INJ. fuse back in, start car.
Try that.^ Your spark plugs may already be fouled, though... Buy new ones.

you are using the correct MAF for the ecu .. ie n318 for the n318 or n332 ecu
or n370 or n374 for the n370/74 ecu ?
did you also swap in the 2 speed fuel pump circuit ?

thanks dwb ill try that when i get home tonight. the plugs are brand new less then 300km on them, so i didnt think they were fouled.
and i did put in the correct maf, it was running with the engine before. and i have not swaped the 2 speed fuel pump cicuit...... could i get a bit more info on that????
also the engine is a canadian one and not j-spec and it is a s5 engine in a s5 body.

no one has any ideas why it would be doing it?
i dont think it is bad injectors, they were working fine when pulled out of the other car, and it never had a problem with flooding or even starting.
