Ecu Test Lights

SO i make the Test light from http://home.rmci.net/panther/ecu_codes.htm

But i didn't make it with the spade connectors....are they neccessairy? do you have to have them?

because i just put the 2 +'s into the one place in the ECU plug...and the 1 negative into the #2 slot and the othe rin the +12 am i doing this right? Please comment

now that i re read the website i think i have it figured out. i am not supposed to put the + into the #1 slot...duhh

Yes you should have them. I presume you just pushed the bare wire into the plug? That might not give a good connction. You don't want loose connections when you're looking for a flashing light...

This how-to has even more info. I permanently mounted my LED's in the warning light cluster.

Boy, i dont have to look for a flashing light. They are bright as hell.... They are like mini spot lights. I will get some spade connectors tomorrow.

So far it was water temp sensor. And the o2!

i just leave mine plugged in. first was o2 now it's the boost sensor. to bad theres not one for the 3800 hesitation.

Be sure to use 12v lights ie LED. Otherwise you may draw to much current from the ECU resulting It to blow.

Yeah, i have 12volt...I can leave my dome light on all night (led) and the battery power hasen't even moved at all :P
