ecu damage - what does it control?

I opened up my ecu today just to check it and I found a burnt resistor, I am not sure what it controls anyone have an idea? I haven't actually driven the car yet as I am in the midst of a rebuild but the car did idle fine. Thanks guys!

The number next to the resistor says 832, its a N332.

I have heard the output resistor for the BAC can burn and cause idle issues, but it seems that your resistor just overheated and didn't burn (burned resistors are ashy colored).

Obviously, it needs to be replaced and soldering a new on there shouldn't be difficult at all iof you have ever soldered before. I am willing to bet that what caused that was a split second ground fault (bump or mishandling wires during maintenance) or it would have totally cooked.
