ECU on '86?

Is there a difference on the computers from a turbo or non turbo, or a manual or automatic. I think my computer is shot, and I need a new one and I wasn't sure.

i would get the correct ECU for the car. any foreign ECU can cause more damage than you would like to encounter. if i am not mistaken auto ECU's are different from manual ECU's but only slightly for obvious reasons

Auto transmission makes no difference in ECU's.

Turbo and Non Turbo are different.

And what makes you think your ECU is bad?

I took the car to an audio installation place and left it there overnight and picked it up the next day, and it ran really bad, like the fuel wasn't getting to it correctly or something. It ran perfect when I drove it in, and the fuel pump was bad when I picked it up, so i replace that, I replaced the pulsation dampner, and the mass air sensor, and the spark plugs(they were soaked with fuel and oil), and it still runs bad, so I'm thinkin it's the ECU. But I'd like to be sure first cause I'm not sure.

Better yet, how is it "running bad"? What are the symptoms?

I put in a Masters fuel pump. And the car doesn't star right up, a real pain in the ***, and it won't idle unless you turn up the idle speed. When driving it, it simply has no ***** - really slow out of any gear. Doesn't run like it was designed to.

Haven't done a compression check yet, yet I'm pretty sure the Apec seals are ok, but I'll end up doing it soon.
