Anyone installed the 160 amp FC alternator that’s on eBay?
I’ll need to replace mine, looking for easy options.

 

I purchased a new alternator, I believe 140 amps, years ago and it's been fine.
Give it a try.

from local Sydney supplier. It is a genuine Bosch and just squeezes into the Series 4 with a few minor modifications including:
Shorter belt
Extend slot in adjuster bar
Shorten throttle lever for the mechanical oil injection regulation lever.
