Yea but expect to pay around $400.00+. Ebay has several upgraded versions for other cars that sale for around $200-$300. Only problem is finding one that will closely fit the Fd's brackets.

Hence the reason Mazsports is $400- It fits right the first time.

I need a more powerful alternator myself. Can't I just get the stock one upgraded?

There is a man in Smyrna TN . that rebuilds alts for the sound off crowd . He did mine for less than $200 . The thing was rewound a different way .I do not remember what he called it . Idle speed puts out 90 amps and full open is 150 amps . If any one needs his phone number I can drive up to get it , and you can get the details from him .

Yes Widebody2, my stereo and amps are craving too much power. Everytime the bass hits, everything in my car dims. I've already killed one red top like that. Poor thing never had a chance.

I am looking for a more powerful alternator because I have a big stero system. I have already gone though 2 alternators and am on my third one now.
Doesn't Mazda have an alternator for any of there present vehicles that put out more than 100 amps?

PM pianoprodigy (i think its him). He has the number of a guy who makes 200A alternators. Ask him about it.

That sounds pretty good. Please get more details from him. 90 amps at idle is what Pianoprodigy's alternater puts out and he has a **** load of stuff running on his car.

That's what i've been forgeting to buy. A capacitor would help, but I still don't think it would be enough for this amp. My brother had two 1 farat cap's on the same stereo setup I have and it still dimmed his lights.

I have a Eclpise 5302 head unit. Xtant 3300 amp. MB Quart "Q" 6 1/2" and a 10 " Eclipse Aluminum sub. The head unit is a bit older but I have been dumping a bunch of money in performance upgrades. The past few years.

If you do a 200A alt. you may look into upgrading the stock main engine Fuse(120A) or add an inline fuse so you don't blow the ecu up!
