Just go with NGK man. If something does come off ebay, doesnt mean its a cheap piece of **** like the rest of the stuff they have there. If they say the name brand which is Iridium in your case, I beleive they're pretty good.

the word "iridium" is often associated with high dollar spark plugs, its 1 step above platinum.

iridium itself is a synthetic compound with a similar molecular structure to a material found in meteorites. ive personally never heard of iridium being used as a brand name.

the brand is not "iridium" its vision motorworks. they are made of iridium and silicone jackets and plug ends and are 9mm instead of the amazing 8.5 ones msd uses. hey if they are half of what they say then its fine by me. ngk is good dont get me wrong just been on the car for a while and engine blew so going new plugs wires etc. starting with clean slate

get NGK, Mazda and NGK worked to make the best plugs/wires for the car. Please search some more.

If you're starting with a clean slate then do it right or be forced to find yourself in this position again.

I'm pretty pleased with my MSD 8.5 wires, and they fit like OEM. Only thing is the extra thermal protection sleeve covers up cool looking red wires with a black material that really seems to draw dust. You could just take it off if appearance matters, since it's not like the ignition side of the motor is really hot anyway, but the sleeve probably will contribute to longevity of the wires. I'm assuming the MSD's still come with the sleeves; mine are a few years old.

Iridium is not a synthetic (man-made) material. It is an element. More info here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridium

Just because the wires use x% or a precious metal, doesn't mean the manufacturing, fit, and quality are there.

Proceed at own risk, and let us know how it goes (not so we can laugh, but so we can be better informed).

I have the MSD wires also. I'm on my second set and yes they still come with the black sleeve. I had my other set for about 5 years and this set for about 10 months.

+1.

You would be surprised at how inexpensive the OEM NGK wires are from a Mazda dealer, and they should come with the plastic "conduit" for extra heat protection and reduced potential for arcing/ flashover. I don't think the parts store variety comes with it.

I was reading someone said Iridium is synthetic...its on the table of elements..can't remember what number though havent been in my science/physics class in awile.

I'd say buy the NGKs..I don't trust most of the stuff on ebay it seems they just want to trick people into buying shoddy products...for instance tricking rice boys into buying a steering wheel because "it upgrades your car to JDM status!" I actually read this....it might of been a shift **** though..can't remember.

well there are worse. Tein has a lawsuit against an ebay store that sold knock off coilovers that can be potentially dangerous. SO be careful when you buy something expensive for 1/4 of the price.

NGK's are cheaper and bright blue, that should be enough.

Just buy the NGK's and stop ******* around with the other brands.

I have 3 sets of Vision reds. They all work great, but when in doubt go NGK.
