Easy question about Mazdatrix UHMW racing mounts

I thought I'd post this here, because Mazdatrix seems to get pretty peeved sometimes when you call them with dumb questions such as this one. To any of you guys that have these mounts or have seen them in person, I have a really simple question. The outer portion of these mounts is made of UHMW plastic, and there is an aluminum insert in the middle. Is the aluminum insert threaded or not?

Does anyone know the purpose of the aluminum insert?

Thanks in advance,
Jamie

I don't know the answer, but to help you find the answer quicker, I would just ask mazdatrix. They are a company, and a company only exists because of customers. If they don't want to help someone who gives them money, I don't think they would last very long. Give them a call if you don't find your answer, don't be scared.

At times Mazdatrix sorta reminds me of the Soup **** on Seinfeld. You better know what you want, have your credit card ready, and get the heck off the phone when you're done. I can understand that they are extremely busy, but there are a couple times when people have been rather standoffish with me. That's why I thought I would ask around here first.

Calling Mazdatrix to ask questions is usually a LAST resort for me, not a first....

I had one experience with them (LIM gasket and coolant O-rings), and they seemed to be very eager to assist me. I ordered the coolant O-rings off the internet, and a few minutes later, I received a call from an employee at Mazdatrix and they wanted to see if I wanted to order a LIM gasket as well ( which I did). Maybe I am lucky, but I had great customer service.
