dyno - happy with numbers

I have prom in a few hours so I have some other stuff to do but I'll scan the dyno in later. The torque numbers are really screwed because the base rpm is off. It starts at 6 and goes to 12. lol so to be making the hp I do at that high rpm torque is tiny, I'm gonna call and see if they can adjust it. Anyway onto the mods and numbers:

3'' thunderfab. dp/mp
n1 single catback
2.5'' Homedepot TID
homedepot ball and spring MBC
walbro 255

peak power is 232 hp @ 6800 or so.

boost was 10.5-11 pounds

A/F from secondaries on is very smooth at 11.2
from 3-4k when the secondaries come on I get a highest point of almost 13:1 for about 300 rpms and then it settles back down into the 11.5:1 area.

I need: upgraded radiator, front mount, microtech, monster secondaries, and a decent sized compressor. I just want to hit 300rwhp and I'll be very happy.

if the RPM is off, the torque curve is accurate (you just have to imagine the RPM's) and the HP is wrong. The peak HP #'s will be wrong if your RPM is off. HP is a product of torque * RPM / 5252.

If you can post your dyno chart and you know what the real rpm range is we can derive the correct HP #'s from it using the torque curve.

That was my initial line of thinking as well, because horsepower is afterall a mathematical function of torque, and nothing more. However I find it highly doubtful I'm making 90 foot pounds of torque I trust the curve of the dyno because 230 rwhp fits my 104 traps pretty well. Regardless I really just wanted to see my a/f ratios.

hmmm hold on while I find someplace to host the dyno pic.

Also you'll notice the drop in power from the first run to the next....that's nearly all heatstroke. The second run was done only about a minute after the first and the temps were getting up there, both air temp and water. I really need to get an upgraded radiator soon.

hmmm....I think I remember someone saying that if the leading coil/trailing coil was tapped into for RPM that it would be about 2x higher than it should be. I can't remember which, but I'm pretty sure this is what happened at the dyno.

I talked to the guys doing it and they said they 'saw something near the front tha tlooked like a coil pack and went for it' to get a rpm reading. So basically if I divided the numbers in half I should have a fairly accurate representation.

LMFAO.. no **** right.

Anyways, looks like some good numbers. What compressor are you thinking about upgrading to?

I don't know if that HP number will be correct or not... (although it would be close)

because the dyno just takes the torque number. and then calculates the HP using that 5252 thing posted above... which works using that torque # and rpm. which are both wrong....

however if you want to asume that HP #'s are right. you can do it backwards to find the torque. hp * 5252 / rpm (half of what's on the dyno) gives you 178lbs at 6800. and almost 200 along the way.

yep I just whipped out my TI-86 and found the torque numbers. So yeah, I have no idea if the hp is on or not. Eh, at least I know my a/f numbers are on and that's all I really wanted to know. I'll be hitting up a dyno over summer again when hopefully I can scrounge up the money for e6k or microtech.
