Dyno chart pics
Was wondering if you guys could post pics of your dyno charts....
i wanted to see your air fuel curve and see what kinda numbers they make and at what RPM....
mine are mid 11's across the board, even from idle and i know this is wrong....
thanx in advance....

i know some people shoot for a little leaner before 3000rpm ( approx 12's ) and what not but i ended up just tuning for 11.5:1 right across....
Hey, aren't you the guy who had a lot of problems with your JDM FC?
Did you manage to sort them all out?
Be careful about trying to lock into a certain AFR number with the wide-band.
A slightly bad ground could cause the numbers to be slightly off.
It's always wise to err on the rich (lower) side.
Also, the AFR "curve" is dependent on a lot of things...
Stock ECU?
How much boost are you running?
What kinda turbo?

my turbo's pooched and the shop whom i took my car too skrewed a few things up, but i know whats wrong with my car now, check valve is missing after they replace the line and my turbo, toast....
i'm running:
stock ECU
13psi
stock turbo
( for now )
as we speak the car is tuned for 11.5:1
P.S. i tuned on the dyno with the sniffer in the exhaust pipe....

We had our 20B car on the DynoJet, and the AFR's were fluctuating from 10.5 all the up to 13.0 on separate runs with very minor adjustments on the fuel map.
After 3 runs, I told them to pull it out and not waste it's life.

well i guess the only consolement i have is that every time i have run on the dyno the AF's have stayed the exact same across the board....
i'm still afraid i might tune my car to lean and see it crater....
but so far from what i understand 11.5:1 is good for a stock turbo S5 @ 13psi....
As Ted says that is dependant upon a lot of things
But for your boost/hp levels that is more than fine, contrary to what most internet guys think...
In my experience, which I do limit tailpip sniffing, when exhaust is leakrfee I have notice .2/3 afr difference based on gauge reading( not datalogged, which is far faster and different..)

unfortunately the last time i started my car while it was parked for the winter i noticed gas comming out of atleast 3different places in my exhaust....
so it looks as if i need to either get some new gaskets or fix them another way....
but thanx again for your help!...

what psi @ 3000rpms?
Unfortuneatly the stock ecu's secondaries don't make their transition until a set rpm instead of load. Motor usually runs lean when that happens.

yeah there's a blip in my dynochart where the secondaries come on....
dips to 12:1 for a split second, but didnt on another....
uhh, i think i was at almost full boost at 3000rpm, i dont remember, this was months ago....
mabe i would be better off just tuning for 11.5:1 across the board?...
