dual alternator belt making me loose voltage?

My car runs at like 11.0-12.5 volts when I'm sitting in traffic...is this normal shouldn't it be running like 13-14? I just thought maybe the dual alternator belt was why? Anybody know?

thanks

Unless it's a lot bigger than stock (i.e. underdrive) then it should have no effect on voltage. Sounds more like a dying alternator or battery. Get them checked out before you get stranded.

No, the battery and alternator are good. the alternator was replaced like 4 months ago. I do have the underdrive pulley as well. I'm pretty sure this is why i'm loosing voltage, just was curious. Thanks

Get a smaller pulley for your alternator...
