dtc #12 full range tps

got a code 12 for full range tps open or short. this will throw the omp off and go into limp mode? right after i got the code my idle kicked up on me. i could not find any other post on this code. any input would be great.

i don't think it goes into limp home for that one, but since the throttle position going into the ECU is wrong, it can cause some weird drivability.

step one is to adjust the TPS using the procedure in the shop manual, which is @foxed.ca if you don't have it already. engine needs to be HOT

step 2 is to replace the sensor. if the sensor is good, but wont adjust, ive seen a couple of creative solutions to move it.

it threw to code with a hot engine and a known good tps adjusted to exactly 1k ohms

It was my understanding the adjusting the tps only actually adjusted the narrow range sensor not the full range one.
