dry weight of a stripped S4 block?

Trying to figure out a shipping quote for someone. I have a stripped NA S4 block...just rotors/housings/end plates, front cover, and oil pan. Any ideas? It'll be cleaned very thoroughly prior to shipping, so it'll be about as light as it gets.

I think it is in the 300-400 pound range for a 13B. Not positive but i'd take that as a vague weight.

Actually, I'd guess closer to 230-250...Considering I can lift one myself, and I can't see me lifting 300 LBs...

well I once lifted 250 pounds myself but then again I weigh in at 125lbs or so so i'd say thats damn good. I'd say a normal "fit" guy could do 300. Maybe not 400 though.

I have one sitting in my garage right now. Just as you described. 200 would be my guess.

Longblock 250lbs? Don't know about an NA but definitely not for a TII engine.

Close weight estimates...I ship and build engines on a daily basis, so I know.

-shortblock, 13b, all years, no oilpan, flywheel, or waterpump...180-195 plus pallet/crate weight if applicable

-longblock, 13b, nonturbo 84-91, including flywheel, 305-330 plus pallet/crate weight

-longblock, 13b, turbo 87-91, including flywheel, 325-350 plus pallet/crate weight

-longblock, 13b, TT 93-95, including flywheel, 350-380 plus pallet/crate weight.
