Hi! I just install a limit slip on my 86 sport 7. I reseal, and clean the oil seals before i install the LSD in the car. But now is driping a fair amount of oil from the oil seals. What did i do wrong. FYI i put redline 75-90 gear oil in, and apply fresh oil on the oil seal before i put the axles in. I am also sure that i didn't damage the oil seal since i didn't pry on it at all. So how do i stop the oil leak? SHould i apply some heavy grease on the seals or get new seals? just use some rtv silicone, just make sure its the high temperature kind. Liquid gasket stuff

 

You must have set the seal in wrong or damaged it someway if it is leaking. Pull it and try again.

Did you press it in with a big socket or seal driver?

And I wouldn't use some glue (RTV) to hold it in
